05.06.2020 Hope you are well Eddie, As you've explained, your work evokes Gothic connotations and the structure of the building is central to your composition. One interesting thing about your work for me is the face that you have been able to successfully present two viewpoints of the church(?) with the archway being unseen yet the rest of the building is lit up by the natural light. Moreover, the distance from the camera and building creates the sense that the building is not only old and sacred but could also be dangerous and should not be entered (gates and looking from behind a branch of leaves). The last picture where the light is on above the dark archway reminds me of a fairy tale - especially as there is a gradient of lighting in the image (lighter at the bottom with the hedges and plants in view and then getting increasingly darker upwards with the upmost top being a silhouette. Im not sure about your chosen theme for year 13 but if you decide to carry on work like this it may be a possibility to look at developments of a certain place and possibly time periods - for example this type of building would not normally be built again in this day and age (unless a refurbishment) yet this building is a central part of Holly Village and is treated as a landmark of that place. Hopefully this helps in any way.
